Gloria Lauterbach holds a diploma in design & sustainability from ecosign/ Akademie für Gestaltung in Cologne, Germany, received in 2012 and a PhD in Arts, conducted at Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture, received in 2022. Specialized in artistic research, Gloria works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Design as part of the NorDark project.

Tuukka Perhoniemi is everybody’s favourite astrophilosopher. He works as a science educator in the Astronomical Association Ursa where he is developing different ways to experience the vastness and fine details of the universe. His current interests include also the relationship between nature and democracy, everyday cosmology and darkness as an experience. 

Maiju Suomi is an architect, a doctoral researcher and an educator working in the field of environmental architecture. In her practice and teaching she is intrigued by the possibilities of expressing different world views through the embodied multisensory experience of space. In her practice-led research at Aalto University, at Empirica research group she explores how moving beyond a human-centered conception of the world affects architectural practices and aesthetics.
