NODUS TALKS: Caring for the Immaterial

MIKKO JALAS is Professor of Practice at Aalto University and head of the Creative Sustainability program. Next to a focus on renewable energy technologies, his research interest lies in the different experiences of time and its meaning for sustainability. In his talk Mikko will focus on the time-intense, dedicated care for wooden boats.

HEIKKI HÄYHÄ is a lecturer in conservation at the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. Engaging with wooden boats first through a self-built Optimist-dinghy, which never turned to be water tight, he currently serves at boards such as the committee for classic boats at the Helsingfors Segel Sällskap.
